If you own a smoothie shop or juice shop and make breakfast smoothies on a regular basis, this is great; you’ll never have to deal with the jarring noise (lol) that most blenders tend to make first thing in the morning. While operating at the noise level of normal conversation, it can quickly blend a smoothie or juice, but it can also chop, blend, puree, and crush its way through just about any ingredient and has the capacity to replace 10 household appliances if you buy this for home use.
It has an overall rating of 4.8 out 5 stars from consumers, which we think speaks for itself. If you’re looking for one of the absolutely best blenders from Blendtec, this blender is it. The price point is at $799 refurbished, and although it’s down from $1099; it’s still steep…but worth it. For those who’d like a high end commercial grade blender for commercial use or residential use, the Blendtec Professional 800 has you covered, literally and figuratively … because of the cover… get it? ( Ok, ok, sorry we couldn’t help ourselves. )
Blendtec Pro 800 Warranty
It makes 100% sense that a blender of this quality would come with a warranty that lasts 10 years. 10 year warranty on a blender?! Mhmm. With that warranty, Blendtec will replace any parts, including jars, due to malfunction or regular wear and tear free of charge, and will ship them free of charge too. For 10 years. This is the longest available warranty on the entire Blendtec range. Considering that this blender consistently gets 5 stars for quality, it’s doubtful that you may even need it. When a company like Blendtec is willing to back a blender for 10 years, you know it’s made to a standard of excellence. Beware, however, that this amazing warranty will be void should the blender be used commercially.
Refurbished vs. New
Although the Blendtec site doesn’t offer this design as refurbished, they’re available on other sites. Blentec’s refurbishment process is very detailed. Each part of every machine gets tested for use, the touchscreens get replaced, as do the floor pads, the motor base gets inspected for cosmetic damage, and every function button is tested. Blendtec blender models are only available for purchase once they’re passed the inspection and are certified by Blendtec technicians.
Quiet and Durable Design
The design of the Blendtec Professional 800 features Stealth Technology, which is made to function at the sound of a normal speaking voices, reducing the usual amount of noise that comes from most blenders. The base also has noise dampening features like a red lining around the stainless steel, which not only looks good, but also has a functionary purpose.
The Blendtec 800 Pro Series is pretty tall, at 17.25 inches, and when the sound enclosure lifts, gets even taller, so it will require space to operate. If your cabinets are relatively high, you’ll be fine, but otherwise you might want to consider sorting it on an open surface. This isn’t a lightweight blender either, weighing in at 16.2 lbs. You know how you can tell when something is well made by the weight? This blender is extremely well made. And despite its large size, the overall design is sleek and features a Blendtec logo on the noise shield. The base is black with red accents, while the shield is made of translucent plastic with airflow technology specifically designed to dampen sound.
Blendtec Pro 800 Automatic and Manual Controls
The settings on the Pro 800 are controlled via touch screen, much like the Blendtec Designer 725, although there are 11 manual blending settings. It also has 6 automatic settings, ranging from smoothies to hot soups. At the slowest setting, the blades spin at about 4,000 revolutions per minutes, and range up to 28,000 RPMs. You’ll have more control with the Blendtec Professional Series 800 then you will with other Blendtec models because of the slide touch controls. You are also able to customize the automatic run times to your liking with the blend wizard. You’ll receive a booklet in the box where you’ll be able to learn how to use the blend wizard.
Pulsing feature
Similar to other Blendtec models the Pro Series 800 has a pulse feature which is used for short bursts. A powerful and useful source of control which is great for finishing off a smoothie or making dips and batters. Lightly push the button with your finger and the blade spins. Let go and it stops.
Jars and Blade
Though the Blendtec Pro Series 800 is superior in its design, the machine uses the same jars as the other Blendtec blender models, which is nice cause if you have a problem it’s very easy to replace. The Jar is very strong and tough to break and is BPA Free. The blade is easy to reach under and clean and it’s a dull 2 blade design which can over power any ingredient. The Blendtec Jars are made from Co Polyester BPA FREE Material. Very tough material, you can drop the jar, hit it with a hammer, bang it against the wall and it won’t break.
In Conclusion
If you own a restaurant or juice shop you really only have two choices of which blender to go with, one being the Blendtec Professional 800, which can do everything you need it to for your business; the other being the Vitamix Quiet One, which is very similar the the Pro 800. Both Vitamix and Blendtec are competing for the commercial blender market so there are many similarities between the two blender models offered for smoothie shops, but no matter which blender model you go with you won’t be disappointed. There are features like the touch slider and the automatic controls that people like about the Blendtec Pro Series more than the Vitamix Commercial Series, you’ll have to do you research to pick one, but you won’t go wrong with either one.
