These are the two most expensive and highest powered blenders that Blendtec and Vitamix offer and are mainly used for commercial restaurants, juice shops, and smoothie shops. You might see one in a very large kitchen in a very expensive home from time to time.
They very quiet when they are running so to not disturb the customers at the juice shop or restaurant, you can actually stand next to the blender while it’s running and have a conversation with someone, the noise reduction enclosure works extremely well on both the Professional 800 and the Quiet One.
Blendtec and Vitamix are in competition with one another for the market place. You can find both blender models are certain stores like Bed Bath and Beyond and Costco. If you want a quiet one or professional 800 you’ll have to order directly from the company website.
Design Features
The Design between both are extremely similar in regards that they have increased power from their usual line up. Both blender models have a sound enclosure for noise reduction, both blender models have pre programmable and customizable speeds. Blendtec focuses more on their digital technology, their touch slider gives you a lot of control over the blend, you can control the speed with your finger on the Blendtec Professional 800. The Vitamix Quiet One has push button preset cycles which are customizable, there are 6 program buttons with 34 optimized settings which you can choose from , the manual speeds are two up and down arrows next to the display screen. Both Vitamix and Blendtec have buttons you push to start and stop the blend.
Jar and Container Options
Blendtec and Vitamix both offer two types of containers which fit almost all of their blender models, a 90 oz container and a 64oz container. The Blendtec Wildside Jar is their larger capacity 90oz container and the Vitamix Low Profile Container is their larger capacity 90oz container. Both the Wildside and Low Profile container have a 4 inch blade and work great. They are easy to clean and easy to work with. The Standard 64oz containers for Vitamix and Blendtec have a 3 inch blade and are narrower but also work great.
Here’s where it gets tricky, the Vitamix Quiet One has a specially designed Container just for the Quiet One Blender, it’s there advanced container for commercial blending. Blendtec uses their Wildside Jar for their commercial blender which is the same container for their home use blenders.
Most juice shops buy at least 3 to 4 containers, which will be necessary for high volume stores like Starbucks when you need to make 4 recipes at the same time.

Smoothies are the obvious choice for buying and using a commercial blender, you can add in seeds, nuts, leafy green vegetables, the blender will pulverize all the ingredients and liquify them to a drinkable consistency.
